Christmas Craft Fair News

Hythe Town Council held its first craft fair on Saturday 4 December .. a timely event to add Christmas cheer to the High Street.

Despite dismal early morning grey skies and rain, the weather improved and the public turned up to support the makers. Some people had never been in our beautiful Town Hall before and took the opportunity to look around and enjoy one of our most attractive  buildings. 

There were ten tables altogether selling lovely handmade gifts including delightful children’s clothing, chopping boards made from wood, brightly coloured cotton and wool goods, as well as eco-products and jewellery and pictures crafted from recycled items. 

Makers and visitors alike were enthusiastic about the event and commented “ it was the best craft fair they had been to and such a friendly atmosphere”.

Hythe Town Council would like to say a huge Thank You to the stall holders and all who came in to support them.

We shall certainly be holding more events like this in the Town Hall. Keep watching this space!
