Statement from The Chair / Mayor

Hythe Town Council wish to express their deepest sorrow and the profound loss felt by the people of Hythe at the death of our glorious monarch Queen Elizabeth II.

As the longest reigning monarch in our nation’s history, we were blessed to have her Royal Highness as our Queen for so long.

Our sorrow is heartfelt, as is everyone’s in Hythe and in the rest of the Nation and Commonwealth, but we also remember the Queen’s immediate family, her children, and grandchildren at this most difficult time.
