The Town Hall is a stunning venue in the heart of Hythe High Street. The upper suite at the Town Hall is the Council Camber filled with many different interesting artefacts. This is a popular venue for weddings, meetings and private functions.
Hythe Town Hall, a Grade Two Listed Building, was built in 1794. The ground floor was the open market, which consists of a carriage entrance at each end, flanked by a stone wall, fronted with rusticated stuccoed quoins and between these carriage entrances an arcade of 2 rows of 4 Tuscan stone columns.
The Council Chamber has a fine marble fireplace with Ionic half-columns, and festoons and a festooned overmantel to the door.

There is no parking at the Town Hall, however certain times of the day you are able to park along the High Street. There are several pay and display car parks near by.

Safety
The facility undergoes a weekly safety and maintenance check. A full PAT test is carried out every year. There s a fire alarm service.
The platform lift has an emergency back-up system for use in the remote event of a mains power failure. The lift is tested and safety and functionality and it also received an annual test form a professional inspection company.
Support
A caretaker will open up for you and arrange cleaning prior to every event. While we will ask you to clear away after you so that we can return your deposit, you won’t need to deal with other users’ mess.
What We Need From You
Risk Assessment
All users must carry out a risk assessment. This is for your benefit as well as the council’s. We can provide you with a risk assessment template if you wish, but the responsibility of the assessment is with you.
Terms and Conditions
If your event is open to the public, we will require you to provide evidence of minimum £5M liability insurance. Hythe Town Council will ask you to adhere to its terms and conditions of supply which you can download here.
We ask all users to provide a returnable deposit of £100.00 against damage.
